Common questions.
When must a company secretary be appointed?
A Singapore company must appoint a locally resident company secretary within six months after registration. A sole director cannot also be that company’s secretary.
When is the first ACRA annual return due?
For a typical non-listed company, the annual return is generally due within seven months after its financial year end.
Is the annual return the same as the tax return?
No. The ACRA annual return maintains company information, while corporate income tax returns are filed separately with IRAS.
